I've always loved J.Crew clothing from afar, but never bought anything as they are fairly pricey and not cheap to ship to Canada. When J.Crew launched in Canada though, I was uber excited but they did not sell Crewcuts or petite sizing in-store. Disappointing, but the company did launch a Canadian site with flat-rate shipping for $9.95.
So while perusing the sale section one night I splurged and bought this Majesty Peacoat (sz 0P), regularly $298, on sale for $159 + an extra 30% off, making it 129.38 after shipping and taxes. It was such a good deal, I really couldn't turn it down!
The coat arrived packaged nicely with hanger and buttons all wrapped up. It was quick and easy with no troubles. I was quite happy with the experience.
70% wool and cozy warm for those somewhat chilly Canadian days (I managed it to squeeze in some wear before the warmer days arrived). The sleeve length was perfect (I've bought a petite trench from Banana Republic and had to alter the sleeves by about 2-3 inches) and the overall fit nice and snug, but roomy enough for a sweater. This is probably the best coat I've ever owned in terms of quality and fit. I will definitely be looking to J.Crew for future outerwear!
