Have you ever noticed how beautiful an artichoke is on in the inside?
I love how unexpected the purple colour is.
P.S. Happy Leap Day everyone! I wonder how many birthdays there are today?

Closet Additions
(Left to right, H&M sleeveless blouse $14.95, Longchamp Le Pliage, $138, Gap boy's gingham shirt on sale $9.95, Old Navy Rockstar jeggings on sale $25)
As I get into my late twenties, I get a better sense of what kind of style I want to lean towards. Although it's still hard to resist all purchases, I've learned many a lessons over the years!
Lately, I'm loving sleeveless blouses; great for layering under blazers. I'm not one for coloured pants much, but I loved the dark reddish wash of these. I spotted two of these pieces over at Extra Petite and instantly loved them. Jean's blog is really horrible for my wallet!
Lastly, I've always liked the simple look of the Longchamp Le Pliage bag, but I never really actively tried to find one. I spotted them this weekend and fell for the versatile look and use. I love how it fully zips up and can be compacted for travel as well. Perfectly practical and great for an everyday bag.
What's your favourite everyday bag?

Hello! + Some News
Hello! I haven't been blogging too consistently lately because I've been keeping myself busy. And... I start a new job tomorrow! So I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I might be sporadic in my blog posting, but I'll be back! Thanks for reading. :)

My Wall Needs...
These ceramic wall planters. Actually, all of Shane Powers' pieces are lovely. I'm really bad at watering plants though, so cactus for me, I think!

Whatever this is, I think I need a slice! Hope everyone had a lovely V-day yesterday, whether with your other half or family. We just stayed in and had some take-out, but I enjoyed it! Food + the comfort of home = fine by me. :) I've been busy lately, but I'll be sure to catch up with you all soon...!

My Favourite Things: Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookie
I have never been much a of peanut butter cookie fan, but the boyfriend loves them. So when I baked these cookies specifically for him, I didn't expect to love them so much! If I, a non-peanut butter cookie lover, love these cookies than a real pb cookie lover should love love love these! Definitely one of my favourite cookie recipes.
Note: I omitted the shortening when I made these, substituted butter for the margarine, and added more oats to my liking. I also halved the recipe and found it made plenty enough for sharing!

Wednesday Want
I could use a Pantone postcard. :) And I MUST add these to one of my cardigans:
Are they not too adorable for words?! We should all do this DIY :) (found via Cup of Jo).
P.S. Am I slow or something? I just realized that Blogger finally added a "reply" option to the comments area. I did notice the change of font, but it took me awhile to see this!

Book Clubs
Is anyone a member of a book club? A friend and I are looking to start one or join one. I was thinking though, I really don't have the cash flow right now to head out to the city to meet up with a book club once a week. So what about an online book club? Perhaps we could have online forums to discuss or just a comment form. Any suggestions or ideas for clubs/books?

Jason Wu for Target
I'm sure by now everyone's seen Jason Wu's collection for Target, but I just wanted to post a couple of my favourite outfits from the line. It makes me wish Target were opening in Canada this year and not next year! I would particularly love a skirt or two.
I've read a lot of comments online about how pieces from Target's previous lines, such as Missoni, were cheap and not of great quality. Have you ever purchased anything from the previous lines? Did you feel that way about the quality?
