Does anyone tweet much?? I've recently gotten more into it over the past month. Before that I had maybe one tweet ever. My account sat idle for months (years?). But it's alive and well now. The Rideau Canal

Today's super blizzard-y day reminds me of how I would love to skate the Rideau Canal in Ottawa this year. To be honest, I've only been skating once in my life, so I'm definitely not a good skater, but I'm determined to learn!

I heard a story of someone who works in Ottawa and skates through the Rideau Canal to get to work everyday. Wouldn't that be amazing? And what insane fashionista would wear these!?

Bangs Clip: Before & After

Hi everyone, A reader requested some before/after photos of my bangs using the clip I talked about here, so here they are. :)

Depending on how long I leave the clip in, it gives a varying degree of curl. The longer I leave it in, the swooshier! Sorry this isn't a very dramatic before/after. My bangs are straighter some days than others. It's a subtle little thing that makes a big difference. This is the way it usually swooshes after unclipping & before adjusting:

Blouse Love + Friday

As I'm preparing to do a closet clean-out, I'm finding I want to stock my wardrobe with pretty, flowing blouses. I love them for tucking into skirts or belted over pants, worn alone or under a blazer/cardigan.

Misery Bear

Just had to pop in and share this hilarious & extremely lovable bear! Isn't he heartbreakingly adorable?? Tonight's line-up? Misery Bearathon!

My Favourite Things: Bangs Clip

One of my all-time favourite things is this hair clip. I have really thick hair and the bangs refuse to curl naturally to the side. No hairdresser can ever get it right either! So I've always pinned it to the side myself and it worked perfectly.

My sister noticed I was using this dinky little clip to hold my bangs to the side so she found me this clip (I love sisters!). I didn't even know such a thing existed!

Another great thing about this clip is that it's made of metal, so you can clip and blow-dry or as I like to do, clip and do my make-up as it works its magic. Of course it looks like you have a small shovel on your head and doesn't look great when you forget to take it out before leaving the house, but I use it everyday and love it!

Ariah at 8 Months! + Friday

Oh no, she looks like such a big girl now! It's funny watching her grow up, but I'm sure it's completely different through the eyes of her parents. 4 more months until she's the big one year old!

Happy Friday everyone! I forgot what "Friday" felt like until today. Can't wait to catch more Zzz's!

Ah, Summer.

Ah, I miss thee summer. I think I'm feeling a bit of the winter blues. It seems to be harder to get back into the blog-swing of things. Also, the boyfriend's car was broken into yesterday which is sad because they stole his 2010 birthday gift from me. :(((
