My Shoe Sizes

(From top left clockwise; Zara size 2, Zara size 1, Crocs size 4, Zara size 1, DVF by Gap Kids size 2, Joe Fresh size 2)

If you were to look in my shoe closet (actually I don't even have one but anyway), my shoe sizes would run anywhere from size 1 to size 5. You're probably wondering, how is that possible? Well, I just don't know. It confuses me as well! I find that a kids size 2 is usually sometimes equivalent to a woman's size 5 depending on the make of the shoe.

In a way I wish shoe sizing were more consistent, but at the same time I'm glad some shoes are extra small in a size 5. These are probably not the best comparisons out of all my shoes, but you get the gist! I find myself sometimes tempted to buy shoes just because they fit, but am now more wise in my choices. What shoe size are you ladies out there? Do you have a hard time finding good-fitting shoes?

  1. HEY GIRL! I'M BACK! I think I have the most typical shoe size out there; I can range from 7.5-8.5...but am more often an 8. The only problem is I have really bony feet so some flats really hurt me in certain areas. My mom often has to wear them for me for a bit to stretch them out!

How have you been!!? We need to postcard soon!! x

  3. I had no idea shoe sizes could vary that much! Being a size 11, I get frustrated a lot because most places only carry shoes up to size 10, especially when I see a pair that I love. The nice thing is when somewhere does carry 11s, they're almost always in stock and usually end up in the clearance section :)

  4. You have such petite feet! :) I'm lucky to be a 7.5 so I can usually find something that fits (tho it's usually picked over). Both of my kiddos have the tiniest feet ever - which is kind of a bummer because I want to buy them new shoes!

  6. i'm so glad we're in the same boat! i always feel alone in the shoe hunting biz! i'm a size 4/4.5 but i always have to settle for 5's because that is the next most basic size! it sucks! whenever i find a good fitting shoe, i almost ALWAYS buy it.
