Happy Halloween everyone! Any amazing plans this spooky holiday?
I hardly ever celebrate Halloween. Actually I haven't dressed up for Halloween in ages, but I will probably hand out candy at my parents' house and check out what the kiddies are this year.
Here are a couple great Halloween links I came across this week:
• Amazingly cute & free mask print-outs
• Great Halloween tips by Joy the Baker
• Chocolate covered chips for Halloween??? I'm intrigued.
Any amazing links to share that I should add to the list?

Movies + Friday
Has anyone seen the movie "My Sassy Girl"? It's one of my favourite movies because it makes me happy every time I watch it! Those are the best kinds of movies.
Anyway, I loved this portrait of the ladies from the movie "Snowflower and the Secret Fan" in Vogue. It co-stars the leading actress of "My Sassy Girl" (on the left) and I have yet to watch it but really want to check it out! Maybe I should read the book first.
Are there any movies out there you're excited to see? I'm also wanting to see 50/50!

Ariah at 6 Months!
Look who got her little ears pierced! Apparently she was "very brave and hardly cried".
As a girl who went and got her ears pierced at 17 years old, I think I would let my daughter decide for herself when she's older. What's your thoughts on baby ear-piercing? I'm actually really curious what other people think about it.
And guess what the little babe is going to be for her very first halloween???.... Awwwwww...

Weekend
Oh, hi! I didn't forget about this week I promise. :)
It was a really nice weekend full of sushi, some nature & fishing! I guess I can finally cross something off my 2012 list. Okay, so R mostly caught this fish, but it was teamwork, and it was the hugest fish I've ever seen in my life! I just realized that I went fishing and ate sushi the same weekend though. FYI, the fish was let go, NOT made into sushi! These two photos just happen to be together... haha.

Brogue Love + Friday
{Top left to bottom right; Dorothy Perkins, Little Burgundy, Urban Outfitters, Peacocks, Dorothy Perkins, Mango, Forever 21, Aldo}
A couple weeks ago I would have been calling all these shoes "oxfords" (maybe they all are?), but only recently did I hear the term "brogues". I'm still not sure exactly what makes an oxford an oxford, but oxfords are brogues... Am I confusing you yet?
Anyway, I am loving the patterned selections and am in want of a pair of my own. What about you?
Have a lovely weekend friends!

New Wellies
So I finally caved and bought a pair of wellies! It's been raining almost everyday here lately and after getting my feet soaked again the other week, I thought it was about time.
Originally, I had wanted these, but ever since J.Crew launched their Canadian site I can't get them shipped here! Boo-urns.
These are the kiddy versions, so I was originally reluctant because of the reflectors on the back. I still don't really like them, but for half the price of the women's boots, I'll take it!

Bright White
I'm usually all about dark wood furniture, but when I see an amazing photo like this, I want white furniture! It's so fresh and welcoming. I love the brightness! I actually have this nightstand in brown-black too. Ikea of course... :)
Which do you prefer?
P.S. I've probably mentioned this before, but I've always been a horrible blogger, so reaching 50 followers and being inspired by you all to blog and to have things to blog about is amazing.
Thanks for reading and inspiring!

An Autumn Hike + Friday
R and I took a nice hike in the woods a couple days ago to enjoy the lovely fall weather. I haven't tried to go out and see the fall weather much in the past, but I think I definitely will in the future!
The ground was covered in leaves and I loved how it was kind of raining leaves on us.
Here are a few more shots from the hike:
Hope you enjoyed coming along on our little hike. Happy Friday Friends!

Twelve by 2012
Remember this list? Well I haven't done anything on it yet (haha no surprise)! But Danni of Oh Hello Friend just posted about her 12 by 2012 project and I thought it was a really good idea for me to participate since I'm a horrible procrastinator when it comes to the little things.
So here are the twelve things I really want to do by 2012:
1. Sew a dress for Ariah.
2. Make this for dinner.
3. Hem all my pants (Many pants + three years and still not hemmed!).
4. Update my portfolio.
5. Design my website (I've had it for 2 years and started, then restarted... and now it's blank).
6. Print and mail out photos (it's been 2+ years... I'm so sorry Cali family! It's on its way I swear!).
7. Clean out my closet(s).
8. Start a travel scrapbook (because I didn't collect all those tickets and stubs for nothin')!
9. Get together with old friends.
10. Catch another fish before fishing season is over.
11. Finally make this DIY tote (I bought the fabric a year ago).
12. Get a new job!***
Can you see how much of a bad procrastinator I am now?! Yea, that's me.

Lazy Days
Hey blog friends, I've been feeling very meh lately and my blog posts might show it!
I've just been busy getting back into the swing of work (and soon I'll be back on the job market!). So since I haven't cut my hair in a long while, I've been wearing it up in a lazy-do everyday. This girl needs a new hair-do!

Thanksgiving Weekend
Can you tell what my Thanksgiving weekend was filled with? My mom has harvested her garden before it gets too cold. Brother made pumpkins pies (although I'm not a big fan). And R and I made a giant pizza (which I'm having for lunch today!). Oh and don't worry, there WAS indeed a big turkey thrown in there somewhere too!
How was your weekend?

Wallpaper Love + Friday
Loving this wallpaper! Wouldn't it be amazing for a little girl or boy's room?
Hope you guys have a great weekend! Sunny summer weather is temporarily back here and I'm gonna try and go out and enjoy it.
P.S. Thanks for your comments on the last post! I think I'll sport red lips more often. :) And Happy Thanksgiving Canadiana friends!

Outfit + Red Lips
Remember when I talked about trying red lips? Well I decided to start out with some red lip stain and build up to lipstick... what do you think?
Definitely loving the effects. It makes me happy to see a pop of colour!

R.I.P. Steve Jobs
I was really quite sad and shocked to see the news of Steve Jobs' passing. It felt sudden and too soon even considering his current health status.
As a graphic designer, I love all things Apple and greatly appreciate what they can do, so thank-you for these amazing things Steve.
"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." – Steve Jobs

Unorganized
My dresser is cluttered and cluttered with stuff of late. It's my go-to place to throw things like new clothing tags, jewelry and random knick-knacks.
I remember the organize-y guy from Oprah saying that "flat surfaces should always be clear", but I can't seem to stick to that idea very well!
I also really need to clean up my desktop. x______x
P.S. Speaking of unorganized, I'm just playing with the blog lately, so don't mind the random changes!
