Awards Dresses

Only two dresses stood out to me during awards season, and they just happen to have been worn by the same person! Mila Kunis, in Elie Saab on the left at the Oscars last night, and in Alexander McQueen on the right at the SAGs. I absolutely love that soft lavender colour and just how "pretty" it is. And anything in that striking red is just lovely to me.

Summer Dress + Interview

I pulled out some summer wear the other day. It's getting almost warm enough to whip out the dresses and skirts to wear (with tights of course)!

I had an interview yesterday that was so extremely nerve-racking. Only because I get that horrible nauseous-shaky feeling before an interview! I think I need some sort of a calming remedy for my nerves pre-interview. The only thing I could think of was deep breathing. Sigh.

Portfolio Bag

I decided to make a portfolio bag a while back and my thought was to just make a simple envelope-style bag to slip my portfolio in. It took two tries, but here's how it turned out!

Happy Long Weekend

Happy long weekend (even though it doesn't count for me!). It's Family Day on Monday and I'm wondering, does anyone really celebrate Family Day since it's such a new holiday?

I've been wearing this shirt for days and it's become my "lazy, wear-over-everything-to-stay-warm" staple shirt. I truly need to go outside more!

We plan on going skating this weekend with skates I got as a gift last year but never used... because I have never skated in my life, but I'm planning on becoming the next Michelle Kwan. Not! Have a good weekend and hopefully by next week, half my hair will have been cut off!!!

Chili

I'm attempting to make chili with a slow cooker I've never taken out of the box until today. Seems to be working out nicely so far! And as a friend said to me, "Minimal work required!"

This past year has been the most I've cooked since... well ever! I figured out that I really love cooking. I'm always interested in new recipes.

I'm not a big Valentine's Day celebrator because shouldn't everyday be "Valentine's" if you're in love? I still love seeing Valentine's gifts and cute things though. Here are a few cute things I've seen around the web lately (I really want #1!).

Hair-cut

I've decided to chop half my hair off! It's getting really tangled and full of split-ends lately. So I settled on this not too short - not too long bob. I think it would be perfect!
